The Lur bird in mythology means a fertile bird. Additionally, ‘Lur’ corresponds to positive meanings in many languages. Therefore, we would like to point out that we took this into consideration when naming our company.

Lur Textiles has entered its tenth year in the fabric industry. The image created by our own brand has created a unique presence worldwide. Our way of working is highly respected by most garment companies. We would like to point out that we are one of the few companies striving to come out strong from the narrow bottleneck the textile industry is going through. In this challenging period, we have also witnessed the loss of many of our clients, just like many of our competitors.
A New Direction Rooted in Trust and Local Strength
Why We Choose Locally Produced Turkish Fabrics Over Imported and Certified Options?
In previous years, we were mainly focused on selling imported fabrics, but due to the quality issues with the countries from which we sourced our fabrics, and the failure of those suppliers to stand behind their products (the main countries we had quality problems with were Pakistan, India, and Turkmenistan), we no longer sell imported fabrics. Additionally, as Lur Fabrics, we used to sell many certified fabrics (Organic, Recycled, BCI, African Cotton). However, after some negative experiences, we have decided to stop selling certified fabrics. We lost our belief in organic and other certified fabrics due to our opposition to unethical certification requests from some of our former clients. We would now like to state that we use only locally produced Turkish fabrics in all of our work. Even though Turkish companies may have higher prices, they stand behind their fabrics and are able to find solutions to problems. Moreover, we are able to request price-performance and blended fabric work from all the Turkish factories we collaborate with. Our new blended fabrics are being incorporated into our customers’ new collections.
